UP-Tuks won their first match against University of Free State (Kovsies)1-0 on Monday. Despite the win, Vellios said that his team could have played better.
UP-Tuks midfielder Thabo Ndlovu echoed the coach’s sentiments but said that the new players, like Jeremiah Nkwana, in the UP-Tuks squad will contribute more to the squad once they have settled in. “Their inclusion to the team has added a different dimension to our style of play,” Ndlovu said.
UP-Tuks will play against the University of Cape Town on 28 July at Tuks Stadium.
