The UP Beats Festival has been moved from February to March this year.
“This decision was agreed on [so] as to accommodate all students and not bombard students with all the activities happening within the first few weeks of varsity and all other activities,” said Tuks RAG Chairperson Phatludi Modiba.
The annual UP Beats Festival typically takes place the night before the RAG Procession at the RAG Farm to kick off the RAG weekend. It is a music concert featuring local artists, bands and DJs. Last year’s line-up included Fokofpolisiekar, Euphonik, December Streets and Dance, You’re On Fire.
The preliminary date for the festival is 15 March.
