Kicking off the evening a poet named Art. The poem “Saqhathwa Nqeqhiga”, was performed in her home language which is Xhosa.
Janel brought something new to the stage with her performance of a Japanese song “The world is mine”, which brought an interesting twist to the night.
Girl power was strong as poet Lebogang performed a poem called “I am woman”, which was a statement of strength and honour amongst women.
Millicent set the stage for the second half of the night with a song called “Broken-hearted girl”, dedicated to strong women.
One of the poets who was most popular with the audience, Ayabonga, performed a poem called “Conversations with a white girl”. Following Ayabonga was Siyabonga with a soulful rendition of “Nessun Dorma”, composed by Puccini.
Having a tough time rounding the winners down to just three, the judges added two more winners. In fifth place was singer Klaus with Lebogang in fourth place. Singer Kanya placed third while Ayabonga was the runner up in second place. The winner of Tuks got talent was Siyabonga.
