Oppikoppi Diaries 2015: day two

Desmond and the Tutus drew a massive crowd as they performed favourites such as “Youth group leader”, “Teenagers” and “Zim zala bim”. They ended off their performance with their smash hit “Pretoria girls”, even giving a Serrie shout-out to the men from Kollege.

PHFat pleased the audience with new material and invited Jung Freud onto the stage for their collaborative hits “If he can’t dance” and “Lights out”. They also performed old favourites such as “Egodeth”, “House of clashes”, “Happiness machine” and “Jump”. The crowd enjoyed their newer work as well, such as “Panic at cluster B” and some unreleased tracks that the duo have been working on.

The aftermath
After another night of jumping and dancing to top-class acts, getting lost on the way back to camp and being entertained by a roving band of bag-pipers who delivered an excellent rendition of the Game of Thrones theme song, another Oppi evening came to an end. With day three hailing the arrival of Oppi’s international headliners, it is plain to see that the festival (and the fun) is far from over.
