The Market has been running since 18 October 2014 and takes place every second Saturday with artisan food from the likes of Ginger and Fig and the Taco Kombi. If you are more inclined to something sweet, Black Salt provides a wide selection of finger treats. Craft beer and vintage coffee are also on sale.
Handmade jewellery, handbags and sandals as well as wood-inspired fashion items that are all truly unique products that one can’t find anywhere else, and where the customer can have a conversation with the artist is exactly what makes this market so vibrant.
On the outside walls, graffiti decorates the surrounding area rather than defile it. On the inside, local musicians entertain the crowds and uplift the atmosphere.
The physical address of the market is 385 Helen Joseph Street. Parking is available at the State Theatre and an entrance fee of R20 is charged.
