Next on stage was solo artist Josh Wantie, another Arcade Empire debutant, whose soft voice combined with his melodic indie-synth sounds made for smooth, soulful listening. Wantie’s various instrumental competencies include guitar, piano and synths, which are reminiscent of Matthew Mole as he was a few years ago.

The Gangs of Ballet faithful were not disappointed when the trio took to the stage, belting out crowd favourites such as “Don’t let me go”and “Daydream” and, of course, a few of their latest songs off of their new EP. It was a more experimental, alternative sound emanating from the Form & Function  EP, with the single “Always”being a slower, more beautifully written song that shows the band’s progression from their first album Yes/No/Grey, which they released over two years ago.
