The band will be performing at Capital Craft this June. What are your expectations for the festival?

It’s the first time we’ll be playing so we have no idea what to expect, besides lots of ice cold beer!

What can fans expect from your set at the festival?

We’re playing an acoustic set. This basically means we play the songs slightly softer with Andrew [Davenport, guitarist] on acoustic guitar, while trapping a kick drum and a tambourine.

Which song are you most looking forward to performing live?

We re-arrange the songs slightly for the acoustic set so the whole show is actually quite fun to play, but I’m looking forward to singing along to “Safe as houses”.

The band recently filled in for The Plastics at Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset. What was the experience like?

Kirstenbosch is a magical venue. You can’t not have a great time on that stage. It was a nice surprise to be able to play the venue on such short notice, also got to hang out with our Shortstraw dawgs!

You will also be performing at the Zakifo festival soon. What are your expectations for your show there?

Again, [it’s our] first time at the festival so no idea what to expect. Although, if the lineup is anything to go by it’s going to be mind-altering. Right by the beach in Durbs, loads of super interesting artists from all over the world. What more could you want? Oh ja, cold ones.
