When asked about the current state of theatre, she commented on how she believes that everything has become really farcical and that people don’t take what they do seriously anymore, adding, “I have such a high regard for theatre that it’s difficult to appreciate what I see, so I want to make something that I feel connected to.”

De Wet says she hasn’t planned on taking the play to other places, but she feels that people should watch it because “we are all in need of theatre that wakes up our senses and makes us feel something. What I want to communicate to other people is that theatre can still make us feel things, not just film.”

After she finishes her master’s, De Wet plans on taking her work to international festivals and continuing her work as a playwright.
