2019 SRC preliminary results


The preliminary results of the 2019 SRC elections saw David Kabwa re-elected for a second term as SRC president.  Kabwa ran as an independent candidate. The preliminary results will stand as is after the 24 hour objection period has passed. The results show a mix of the three main political parties (Daso, EFF, and ANCYL) represented in the different portfolios.

The SRC Preliminary Results are as follows:
President: David Kabwa (Independent)
Deputy-President: Mpho Mehlomakulu (EFF)
Secretary: Ryan Haines (DASO)
Deputy-Secretary: Lerato Ndlovu (ANCYL)
Treasurer: Shaheen Deonarian (DASO)
Facilities, Safety & Security: Bianca Robinson (DASO)
Marketing, Media & Communications: Gerald Mokwena (ANCYL)
Study Finance: Thuli Kola (DASO)
Study Post Graduate & International Student Affairs: Lindani Mgoduka (EFF)
Day Students & External Campus Affairs: Lemogang Mochoari (DASO)
Societies: Hannah Le Roux (DASO)
Transformation: Thabisile Mtshali (EFF)

The objection period opens tomorrow at 9:00 (Thursday 29 August) and closes on Friday 30 August at 9:00.
