On 7 February, a ground staff member employed by the University of Pretoria (UP) was involved in an accident with a car driven by a student on Prospect Street. UP’s security services were notified to make their way to the scene. After arriving on the scene, security officers notified the central control management who then notified ambulance services and regulated traffic on the road.

The University of Pretoria employee was laying on the ground unconscious when security services arrived on the scene. Traffic was regulated around the employee. The employee was taken to a hospital by ambulance services.
