The hit television show How I Met Your Mother has become a pop culture phenomenon – mainly thanks to the character Barney Stinson’s obsession with wearing suits (or “suiting up” as he terms it) and, well, being awesome. This inspired International Suit Up Day; where the aim is to get as many people as possible all over the world to wear suits. According to the Facebook page (www.facebook.com/internationalsuitupday), International Suit Up Day has been around since 2008.
On Wednesday 13 October, the Barney Stinsons and Ted Mosbys of Tuks ambled around on campus. Definition of Stinsons and Mosbys? Those who did suit up and those who tried (and failed) by wearing blazers over normal clothing.
